Always fun to try but often difficult to write well, acrostics are formed by starting each line with a word that begins with a letter of the very thing you are writing about.
When completed, you should be able to read that word—i.e., the subject of your poem—vertically, down the left-handside of the page. For example:
Brilliant
As the setting sun
Red and gold,
Bringing joy to
Anyone who
Dwells here—if
Only she was treasured like the
Star she is.
